Yesterday, I flew out to the NYC area for work. Since there are a couple of people from the blogging community I knew lived out this way, I have tried to setup a chance to meet a couple of them.

Last night, I did. For those of you who, as Stephen King likes to call them, are my Constant Readers, you may know Deuddersun from both his place, Any Which Way, and here. I finally got a chance to meet him in the flesh last night. In fact, I think I’ll set up a new category for bloggers I’ve met in the flesh. Some time in the future I’ll probably set one up for commenters I’ve met in person as well if it proves feasible (most of my commenters have sites of their own). So on to the review of our fateful meeting…

D. is great guy who showed me a couple of his old haunts here in NYC. We had to do a little walking, but is there really any other way to get around this city beside public transportation? Surely no one is crazy enough to actually want to drive in this town. Needless to say, we both had a great time and much alcohol was consumed. Since I’m out here on business, I was lucky enough to not have to work until tonight because my head was sure throbbing this morning. A little food, some coffee and plenty of water set my mind straight.

On that note, I hope to meet Scroff and Ruthie this weekend if we can swing it. My schedule is pretty tight, but I might be able to scrounge up a couple of hours to head into the city and meet them as well. I had also hoped to get a chance to meet DBK of Blanton’s and Ashton’s, but that may not come to fruition this trip.

Now, any of you that want to brave a trip to this wasteland called Milwaukee, feel free to drop me a line in the comments of either this post or any other and I’ll get back to you. Me likes to drink beer and occasionally other cold beverages, but just the chance to meet some you folks is enough for me.
